Polish Studies Minor

The Minor in Polish Studies consists of two tracks. The Culture and Society track requires 6 courses from the list given below. The Language track has a prerequisite of POL 101 and 102 and requires POL 203 and 204.

Requirements for the minor in Polish Studies:

Prerequisites Courses for Language Track: POL 101 and POL 102 (or equivalent)
Prerequisites Courses for Culture and Society Track: any POL course with a grade of C or better.

POL 101 and POL 102

Any Polish Studies (POL) course with a grade of C or above

Lower-level courses

POL 203 and POL 204

Two POL courses. Note: One 200 level course from the list of approved courses from other departments (see list below) may count towards core minor requirements.

Upper-level courses (12 semester hours)

Four upper level POL courses (12 semester hours). Note: One 300 or 400 level course from the list of approved courses from other departments (see list below) may count towards core minor requirements.

Four upper level POL courses (12 semester hours). Note: One 300 or 400 level course from the list of approved courses from other departments (see list below) may count towards core minor requirements.
